Discoveries Museum of Belmonte
Interpretation Centre “Discovering the New World”, a museum devoted to maritime Portuguese Discoveries and especially to the discovery of Brazil by Pedro Álvares Cabral, has already opened its doors.
Divided in two floors, the future museum of Belmonte is set in the manor house Solar dos Cabrais. It will depict in 16 rooms the entire Discoveries’ epopee from the preparation of the trip to India to the arrival of Pedro Álvares Cabral in 1500 in Brazil, by using the latest technologies.
